Associate’s
Degree: A student must successfully
complete at least 60 credit hours of study.
Bachelor’s
Degree: A student must successfully
complete 120 credit hours of study, including
a Final Paper/Project worth 12 hours of
credit. Two Bachelor’s-level courses
may be added in lieu of a Final Paper/Project.
Master’s
Degree: A student must have previously
received a Bachelor’s Degree and must
successfully complete 42 credit hours of
study, including a Thesis/Project worth
12 hours of credit. Two Master’s-level
courses may be added in lieu of a Thesis/Project.
Doctorate Degree:
A student must have previously received
a Master’s Degree and must successfully
complete 54 credit hours of study, including
a Dissertation/Project worth 24 hours of
credit.
GRADING SYSTEM
A grade falling:
between 90 and 100 percent is an “A”;
between 80 and 89 percent is a “B”;
between 70 and 79 percent is a “C”;
between 65 and 69 percent is a “D”;
and
64 percent and below is an “F”.
Graduating with
Honors
Students will graduate
with honors provided they have completed
the required amount of coursework with the
University with a 3.7 GPA or above. Students
graduating with an average GPA of 3.91-4.00
graduate Summa Cum Laude. Students graduating
with an average GPA of 3.81-3.90 graduate
Magna Cum Laude. Students graduating with
an average GPA of 3.70 - 3.80 graduate Cum
Laude. These honors will be indicated on
the student’s diploma.
